Complimentary Consultation

We recommend meeting and getting to know the Designer you will be working with. Ask yourself questions during your meeting.

·      “Does this designer actively listen to me?”

·      “Do I trust them?”

·      “Does working with this designer feel right and make sense?”.

·       “What is the logical next step?”

During your Complimentary Consultation, we will take about an hour to review photos of your space and inspiration photos you have collected. We will discuss more deeply what is and what isn’t working now. We ask a variety of questions to help us understand your situation better. We want to design for your needs and not just your wants. Together we’ll browse your inspirational images to understand what attracts you to them.

We ask many detailed questions; some may feel a little personal. “Do you and your partner shower together?” “How often do you lose items in the back of your refrigerator only to find they’ve turned into a science experiment months later?” We’ll discuss possible project timing, how much your investment might cost, and how the design process works. We’ll reference a recent similar project to help illustrate what we can anticipate.

The goal of the Complimentary Consultation is for us to decide if we are a good match for each other. If we agree that we are, we can finish by filling out a small letter of agreement for Schematic Design. We’ll set an appointment for a Designer to come into your home to measure and document the existing conditions and schedule your next appointment to review the proposed remodel options.
