The role of our Design Team goes beyond design, we’re also translators. Often, contractors become overly technical and use construction terminology when explaining something behind the wall without making it easy for clients to understand fully.
For the best experience, your designer is part of the construction team throughout. We invite your contractor into early project discussions during Schematic Design. We expect to be invited to their construction meetings to set up protections, walk the project with the lead carpenter or project supervisor, and attend weekly meetings to answer their questions. This process helps us assist you in decision-making and to stay apprised of the project.
Your designer is a team member with the construction crew as well as your advocate. When we work together as a team to provide the best possible options and solutions to our clients, we can avoid change orders, delays, and mistakes.
Client Time Commitment: 1-2 Hours per week
Approximate Timeline: 14-36 Business Weeks
