It’s refreshing to come across Manufacturers who are based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Today, there were three fantastic locals to celebrate!
San Leandro-based Gatco has fantastic accessories with affordable high-end style. Lately, we’ve had requests to help our client’s grabbars disappear into the background a little more to keep the design focus on their beautiful tile. The Locke series matte white accessories blend in with light-colored painted walls and marble-inspired porcelain showers and incorporate a thinner profile on the front while maintaining the needed girth for accessibility.
Hayward-based MS International (MSI) has long been one of our favorite affordable and intriguing manufacturer showrooms for quartz and natural stone countertop suppliers. Their new “printed quartz” is even more of a convincing “marble look” than most porcelain options available. Why is this important? Alisa’s traveling companion and main countertop fabricator, Stacey Steele of Steele and Stone Fabrication, comes across too many “affordable” specified products that are significantly lower in quality and break too easily on the cutting table, creating wasted time, materials, and money as a replacement slab (in the same dye-lot) is reordered, delivered, and Re-fabricated.
And lastly, Alisa discovered that Dawn Kitchen & Bath Products is also based in Hayward. Their products are “value-priced”, and she was impressed on first glance at these bar tumbler-style vessel sinks and their two-tone black and rose gold faucet series. Though we can’t speak to the quality of this brand through experience, we’re looking forward to learning more.
